Questions people ask
How much space does a mechanical bull need?
Most setups with the inflatable mat need an area about 16 to 20 feet square, plus a few feet of clearance for spectators and the operator's console. Rectangular mats fit narrower rooms. We confirm the exact size for your ride on your quote.
What ceiling height is needed indoors?
We usually ask for around 10 to 12 feet, because the inflatable walls and a rider's raised arm add height. Let us know about low beams, chandeliers or sprinkler heads.
What power does it need?
Usually one or two standard household outlets, ideally on separate circuits so the ride and the blower don't trip each other. No power outdoors? Mention it on your quote.
How long does setup take?
Often around 45 minutes to an hour once our crew is in the room, with a similar time to pack down. Stairs or elevators in city buildings add time.
Do I need to provide an operator?
No. Every ride comes with our trained operator, who runs the speed and watches every rider. We never drop off a ride unattended.
What are the age and weight limits?
They depend on the ride. Standard bulls usually suit older children through adults, and the baby bull is made for little ones. We share the limits for your ride with your quote.
Can it go indoors and outdoors?
Yes, as long as the space is big enough. Outdoors, fairly flat ground works best, and grass is usually fine.
What happens if it rains?
Electrical rides can't run in the rain. Plan a tent or an indoor backup space, and we'll go over weather terms when you book.
Do riders need to sign waivers?
Yes, waivers are standard. Riders ride at their own risk and follow the operator's rules.
My venue has vendor paperwork. Can you help?
Tell us what your venue asks vendors for when you request a quote, and we'll confirm what we can provide before you book.
Do I need a permit for a park in NYC?
Organized events in NYC parks generally need a permit from the Parks Department, and rides may need specific approval. Private venues set their own rules, so check with them too.
Can people ride after drinking?
No. Our operator will turn away anyone who appears impaired, and we ask hosts to back that up.
How far ahead should I book?
A few weeks works for most dates. Summer weekends, graduation season and December fill up sooner, so a month or more gives you the best pick of rides. Get a quote to check your date.
